  • Last week, Sweetie the horse and her owner became trapped in mud in Boulder County, but neighbors, veterinarians and responding agencies worked together to rescue her and she is now recovering.  CBS Colorado

  • In a Longmont home, Rich said that neighbors’ wall-mounted floodlights — in violation of municipal code — shine through open windows and disturb his sleep. He noted that older houses lacking air conditioning force residents to keep windows open for cool air while the bright lights create nightly disruptions.  Longmont Times-Call

SPORTS NEWS

  • On Saturday, the Colorado Buffaloes beat Delaware 31-7 at Folsom Field but must fix mistakes as they get ready to play Houston at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Redshirt quarterback Ryan Staub threw for 157 yards and two touchdowns, and coach Deion Sanders said the team needs to improve its offense and defense—its quarterback role is still not decided.  Longmont Times-Call
  • Redshirt sophomore quarterback Ryan Staub led the Colorado Buffaloes to a 31 to 7 win against Delaware on Saturday at Folsom Field with 157 yards and two touchdowns while the team rotated three quarterbacks for a preseason approach—CU now prepares to face Houston on Friday at 5:30 p.m. on ESPN as they work to improve both offense and defense.  Longmont Times-Call
