EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Longmont’s St. Vrain Valley School District is expanding its Innovation Center by doubling its size to 110,000 square feet to add a human performance lab with motion capture technology, a larger event space for robotics tournaments, and expanded classrooms to support programs such as aeronautics and music innovation — construction began this summer with the first phase scheduled for completion by fall and the second phase set for January. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Colorado Parks and Wildlife may buy the 3,334-acre Tolland Ranch south of Eldora and west of Rollinsville in a deal organized by The Conservation Fund with support from Boulder County. County officials have sent a letter to the legislature and if state funding is approved the deal will close by the end of the year (the Toll family has owned the ranch since 1893 and set a price of $9.9 million).
