ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Boulder County officials rescued Sweetie, an adult mare, who got stuck in mud near Niwot southwest of Longmont on Thursday afternoon—emergency crews including VetweRx Equine arrived after the owner and a neighbor called for help. Longmont Times-Call
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A Longmont man, Douglas Kent Hartman, 67, was found guilty in a March retrial of sexually assaulting children and received a consecutive 60-year sentence until parole eligibility, and he will appeal his conviction + Hartman has remained in custody since his initial 2019 conviction. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ People in Colorado who want the updated COVID-19 vaccine at CVS & Walgreens this fall must show a prescription because state law limits vaccines to those recommended by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices. Some private insurers will cover the vaccine now, but coverage rules may change in the future. Longmont Times-Call
