CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Longmont resident Darek William Marino, 39, pleaded guilty in a plea deal for possessing nearly 400 pieces of child sexual abuse material that included images of children under 12 and sending some to an investigator in Florida — he was sentenced on Friday to 8 years of probation running concurrently with 4 years in community corrections and must register as a sex offender. - ➤ Tawfiq Byard transferred from South Florida to CU in Boulder and has settled in well—he said the town feels warm and inviting. He is set to learn from head coach Deion Sanders and his experienced staff—while following his older brother Kevin Byard’s NFL path. Longmont Times-Call
- ➤ Keaten Wade, who played only six games last season because of injury, is set to have a bigger role with the Colorado Buffs now that he is fully healthy.
