  • Colorado Parks and Wildlife officials found a dead osprey at St. Vrain State Park after it swallowed fishing line and hooks and urged park visitors to take all their belongings with them to protect local wildlife.  CBS Colorado

SPORTS NEWS

  • Today, the Rockies clinched their seventh consecutive losing season and are on pace for a third 100-loss record with an expected 452-run deficit—putting pressure on the franchise. Owner Dick Monfort and his son Walker are expected to review management roles—possibly firing general manager Bill Schmidt if improvements do not materialize.  Longmont Times-Call
  • Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Ryan Staub works hard and helps his team by mentoring his teammates as they prepare for the season opener against Georgia Tech on Aug. 29.
