Attendees of the Boulder County Fair can park off site at Twin Peaks Classical Academy (340 S.
Sunset St.) and ride a free shuttle to the north lot at 9595 Nelson Road from 3 to 11 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The fair runs today through Sunday.
Boulder County Fair changed its nonprofit booth setup this year to offer interactive exhibits or beer tents — a change that excluded Longs Peak VFW for nearly 20 years.
The group is now asking for the traditional booth format at next year’s event.
🌲 Environment
Officials confirmed the emerald ash borer has been found in another county, marking further spread of the invasive insect along the Front Range.
The wood-boring beetle, native to Asia, has killed millions of trees since its U.S. debut.
🏥 Health
In the early 1900s, Colorado earned its nickname 'the world’s sanitarium' as TB patients flocked for fresh air and sunshine, and the nearby town of Hygiene — named for its sanitarium — shows how the disease shaped local healthcare.
