BUSINESS NEWS

  • Rosalee’s Pizzeria in Longmont was named 14th on a national ranking of the best pizza slices after an anonymous critic from 50 Top Pizza tried a slice. LIFESTYLE NEWS

  • A reader asked why his two friends with hearing loss, one who stopped using hearing aids and one who refuses to wear them, often urge him to speak louder while still complaining he mumbles; the columnist advised they see an audiologist since using hearing aids can help cut memory loss risks. Another reader worried when her ex-husband’s girlfriend was called 'Nonna' by her grandson, and the advice was to use a different name to set apart each special role (this change may ease family tensions).  Longmont Times-Call
  • On Saturday, July 26, Longmont residents enjoyed the Burroughs concert at Coal Creek Park with food trucks, a Playback concert at Bricks on Main, and a glow swim at Sunset Pool—while today and later this week free craft yoga and concerts at Left Hand Brewing and Bricks on Main, along with a Printmaking Palooza, Erie Teen Advisory Board meeting, art, language, and music events at several venues, are set to offer family-friendly options. Residents can choose events with free entry or a small fee based on registration requirements—ensuring a range of activities to suit different interests.  Longmont Times-Call
  • Eric offers advice in his column for retirees disturbed by a neighbor’s rooster that starts crowing at 5:20 a.m., suggesting a calm talk about adjusting its routine (for instance, using a lightproof coop) may ease the early wake-up call. He also advises a blended family facing long-held hurts to try family therapy so that past pain can begin to heal.  Longmont Times-Call
