- ➤ Monarch football team helped run a Special Olympics camp at Meadowlark School in Erie last week — where ten young athletes took part in sports like basketball, tee ball, soccer, and a parachute obstacle course. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Longmont’s Union Reservoir Swim Beach will open Monday for the first time this season after delays from low water levels that left debris and lifeguard staffing shortages — the beach will operate through Aug. 12 with modified hours to accommodate a triathlon on Aug. 10. Longmont Times-Call
