  • Colorado is cutting state tax credits for new electric vehicle buyers from $3,500 to $750 starting Jan. 1 due to a tight budget, while federal incentives for new and used vehicles will end on Oct. 1. Coloradans can still claim a $2,500 credit for EVs under $35,000 and a $4,000 break in the vehicle exchange program — buyers should act soon before credits drop.  Longmont Times-Call
