  • Louisville nonprofit Community Food Share said that federal spending cuts targeting SNAP have led more Boulder and Broomfield residents to use its services and forced it to reduce food variety—buying mostly local, long-lasting produce as its food buying funds drop from $2.4 million to about $1.5 million.   • Teresa Simpkins, a retired city employee with 25 years of service who has lived in Ward 2 for 12 years, announced her candidacy for the Longmont City Council seat.   • At Big 12 media days in Frisco, coach Deion Sanders said Colorado let senior Kaidon Salter and freshman JuJu Lewis compete for the starting quarterback job ahead of the 2025 season.
