  • Longmont makerspace TinkerMill will host its annual summer fundraiser, TinkerFair, on Sunday from 11 a.m. — 4 p.m. at 1840 Delaware Place, Unit A. The event will feature live demonstrations in woodworking, ceramics and blacksmithing, music, food trucks, vendors, a mini golf course and a membership drive offering a free t-shirt plus a second month free.  Longmont Times-Call
  • The Longmont Sister Cities Association faced a setback today when the U.S. consulate did not accelerate visa interviews for eight Mexican exchange students and two chaperones from Ciudad Guzmán, risking their planned visit at the end of July. Local officials have tried to secure earlier interviews — but have not succeeded, leaving the trip in jeopardy.  Longmont Times-Call

CRIME NEWS

  • A man detained at Boulder County Jail, 29 year old Dakota Stephenson, has been charged with multiple counts of sexual assault and harassment against inmates from January 17 to May 2, 2024 + he is held in administrative segregation and is scheduled to be arraigned on July 22 with a $50,000 bond.  Longmont Times-Call
