🏛️ Government
Boulder County officials proposed a new open space management model that will group about 70,000 acres into six districts – starting with the Peak to Peak district near Nederland.
They plan community engagement by year-end, will collect field data in 2027, and report pilot results in 2028.
A Boulder County survey with 7,522 responses shows most trail users oppose a pilot that would restrict hikers, bikers - and equestrians to separate usage days.
Officials will present the final report at a commissioners worksession on June 30 to decide next steps.
