Good morning, Longmont.

Rescue teams in Boulder County are searching for a four-year-old who fell into St. Vrain Creek Tuesday evening (about 3 miles northwest of Lyons) after a relative contacted authorities when cellphone service returned.

NextLight, Longmont’s community-owned internet provider, was named the nation’s Best Overall ISP in PC Magazine’s 2026 Readers’ Choice Awards and also received honors for Best Municipal ISP, Most Highly Recommended ISP and Best Value—Executive Director Valerie Dodd credited the service’s success to dedicated customers.

Niwot Paints the Town will hold live and silent auctions of works by roughly 20 local artists at Niwot Hall, 195 Second Ave., Friday from 5:30 to 8 p.m. — the proceeds will fund tree carvings restoration and renovations at the venue.
