CRIME NEWS

  • On Thursday at 2 p.m., law enforcement were notified of a possible assault of an at-risk person in the 3000 block of East Ken Pratt Boulevard.  Longmont Times-Call
  • Thomas Jeffrey Winters, 28, was charged Monday with multiple assault counts after reportedly hurting a woman during fights at a Longmont home from March 14 to March 16—she broke her jaw and sustained other injuries—and he is held on a $250,000 bond pending a preliminary hearing on April 14.  Longmont Times-Call

CULTURE NEWS

  • This week, several art exhibits are open in the region as venues in Boulder and Longmont host a variety of shows. In Longmont, Firehouse Art Center’s 'Ex Situ' runs until April 27 — and The Great Frame Up preview show runs until May 2.  Colorado Hometown Weekly

  • Yesterday, Boulder County students shared their views on artificial intelligence in education during a virtual summit — organized by the Colorado Education Initiative and the Colorado Department of Education — to mark National AI Literacy Day.  Colorado Hometown Weekly
  • Boulder County students shared their insights on how AI is shaping education at a virtual summit held Friday to mark National AI Literacy Day. Three students from Niwot (using AI for robotics and chatbots) and one from Fairview presented projects while education officials said the district will explore new strategies (including teacher training) to address emerging challenges.  Longmont Times-Call
