ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A pickup truck crashed into the Longmont Humane Society on Saturday, damaging the front of the building and forcing the facility to close temporarily.  Colorado Hometown Weekly

CRIME NEWS

  • Officers responded at 8:06 p.m. on Sunday to a crash at Longs Peak Avenue and Kimbark Street and arrested a man on suspicion of driving under the influence.  Longmont Times-Call

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Martin Ogle will host the Connecting the Environment to ALL Careers and Youth to Business workshop on April 27 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at the Sister Carmen Community Center in Lafayette—local high school students, businesses and community members will learn how to add environmental principles to every career path—offering fresh ideas for a green economy.  Colorado Hometown Weekly

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Lyons town board voted 6-1 to oppose the planned Rocky Mountain Greenway trail because of environmental worries over contaminated soil. Local governments in the region have similarly pulled support for the project.  Colorado Hometown Weekly
