  • KC Becker, who worked as a state House speaker and on the Boulder City Council — and was an EPA administrator — was named the new CEO of the Colorado Solar and Storage Association, replacing Mike Kruger. She said she will work with members to build a stronger solar and storage industry that helps grow clean energy in Colorado.  Colorado Hometown Weekly

CULTURE NEWS

  • Many art exhibits are open across Boulder County and Longmont this week. At Dairy Arts Center in Boulder, Creative Nations celebrates a respected storyteller and tipi educator through May 4 — other local galleries show work from photography to sculpture.  Colorado Hometown Weekly

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Today, several road projects in Boulder County will change local travel—CDOT will begin work on Colo. 119/Diagonal Highway with a finish planned for spring 2027 and Longmont will improve northbound Coffman Street until May 13. A detour on Colo. 66 for Cemex’s conveyor removal from April 4—6, along with closures in Frederick and Erie for water and bridge projects plus repairs on Arapahoe Road ending March 31, will add more delays while Telleen Avenue stays closed through today.  Longmont Times-Call

HEALTH NEWS

  • Cooper Rusaw, a third grader at Fall River Elementary in Longmont, was named the beneficiary of the Happy Smackah 5K that will raise funds to support his fight against leukemia—organizers announced on March 21.
