Boulder County will change its Climate Equity Fund process by increasing projects to 28 (20 small, 8 large) and separating evaluator roles to reduce conflicts, and it will open a longer application window in early June to reach more community members affected by climate change.
The revised process is designed to ensure funds better support local grassroots efforts.
🏥 Health
Mark McCullick from Longmont was billed $77,000 for a PET scan after his insurer paid only 28%, and the hospital later offered a cash rate of $14,259.
He is still trying to resolve the high charge + confusing billing process with both groups.
