  • Marla and Joe Truitt plan to open Best Day Ever! Coffee and Crepes at 516 Coffman St. in Longmont in late March with their eldest son Seth (34) working there as he has Down syndrome. The new coffee shop will hire about 20 people (called besties) with special needs for short shifts with mentor support to learn customer service and back-office tasks.  Longmont Times-Call

  • The mother of Megan Trussell, a CU Boulder student found dead in Boulder Canyon on Feb. 15, has reopened her memorial campaign to cover private investigator fees for her ongoing investigation and is offering a $1,000 reward for the recovery of her missing Samsung phone or tennis shoe—Boulder County officials state no foul play is suspected.  Colorado Hometown Weekly
  • Longmont police responded on Friday to a reported shoplifting in the 1200 block of South Hover Street, recovered a stolen license plate from the 2500 block of Sunset Drive at 6:05 p.m., and arrested a driver for suspected DUI in the 2000 block of Sunset Way at 10:17 p.m.—all in one day.  Longmont Times-Call
