- ➤ On Monday afternoon, firefighters contained a controlled burn that escaped on a property southeast of Longmont near Quail Road and 119th Street (limited to less than 2 acres) after a homeowner called when winds picked up; firefighters from Mountain View, Boulder Rural and Lafayette assisted and no injuries were reported.
